Farmers Producer Organization Promotion-Tumkur
With focus on benefit to farming community through pricing and marketing of their produce, we promoted five farmer produce in Tumkur district under NABARD Producer organization fund.
Three farmer producer organizations are registered and have completed three years, additional two more is FPOs sanctioned.
FPO'S are promoted to improve the productivity of lead crops by adopting appropriate technology, training, demonstration and collective marketing system.
NABARD–RURAL MART PROJECT FOR FPOs
NABARD has supported for establishing Rural Mart under FPOs which have successfully completed three years with business development activities.
Kasthuri Rangappa Nayaka FPO is an established Rural Mart at Sakshihalli in Sira taluk of Tumakuru district under NABARD support. The Rural Mart is located close to famous temple (Mannamma Devi) connected by National Highway-236, where are number of devotes visit and more than 15 villages are closely located to Rural Mart.
Similarly Bhomatha FPO Gandasi, Arasikeretaluk, Hassan district and Hasanamba FPO Nittur in Hassan district are supported to establish Rural Mart by NABARD.
Rural Mart functions as support service center for FPO and non FPO members. All kinds of agriculture inputs are provided with reasonable cost and all kind of agriculture produces are purchased from shareholders for better price. Bulk purchase and marketing has been done through these Rural Marts.
NABARD– LEDP PROGRAMS FOR WOMEN
Livelihood Entrepreneurship Development Program (LEDP) training on Sheep & Goat rearing has been planned and conducted from 15.03.2021 to 25.03.2021 at ORDER-Krishi Vikasa centre at Kilardahalli thanda, Sirataluk of Tumkur district.
Training program on sheep& goat rearing under NABARD -LEDP through involvement expertise from veterinary doctors, bankers, expert farmers, entrepreneurs, animal husbandry department officers to provide technical & management training in all aspects of sheep & goat rearing.
Covid-19 measures are taken care by providing masks and hand sanitizer during training program, note pad, pen, information booklets on sheep & goat rearing, fodder & feed management, health & disease management, commercial rearing & marketing system are provided to all trainees. 30 members from matured SHGs attended 10 days training and details of topics covered during training days are mentioned in the table
Kasthuri Rangappa Nayaka Horticulture Crop Producer Organisation
Kasthuri Rangappa Nayaka Horticulture Crop Producer Organisation has been promoted in NABARD TDF project villages in Sira taluk for collective production and marketing of mango, cashew and coconut crops. 825 farmers from 8 villages have put their contributing amount of Rs 500.00 in the organization, 14 members executive committee has been formed and registered under Karnataka cooperative sowhardasahakari act. Farmer mobilization programs, trainings, exposure visits are conducted to mobilize the farmers.
Tumkur Organic farmer Producer Company
Tumkur Organic farmer Producer Company is established at district level to encourage organic farming and marketing of products through common outlets for better price through involvement of organic farmers as shareholder in the company. The Project area initially covers organic farmers in 5 taluks of Tumkur district. The main intention of Organic farmer producer company is to establish network of organic farmers for extension of organic farming, production of food and horticulture crops, grading, packing and marketing.
Chikkanayaka Horticulture crop producer Organisataion
Chikkanayaka Horticulture crop producer Organisataion has been promoted for collective production and marketing of mango and coconut crops in NABARD supported tribal development project villages in Handanakre hobali of C N Hallitaluk .456 farmers from 8 villages have put their share amount of Rs 1250.00 in the organization, 11 member executive committee has been formed and registered under Karnataka cooperative sowhardas ahakari Act. Mobilization programs, trainings, exposure visits are conducted to mobilize the farmers.
. Bhomitra Agriculture crop producer Organisataion
Bhomitra Agriculture crop producer Organisation has been promoted for collective production and marketing of millets, pulses and grains in NABARD supported watershed project villages of C N Halli taluk. 220 farmers from 6 villages have put their share amount of Rs 1250.00 in the organization, 11 member executive committee has been formed. Farmer mobilization programs, trainings, exposure visits are conducted to mobilize the farmers.
SWAVALAMBI Agriculture Crop Producer organization
SWAVALAMBI Agriculture Crop Producer organization is promoted to provide a platform for selling and purchase of agriculture produce, either as raw or value added products and marketing of all processed, value added branded agriculture products by establishing market network.
It is farmer’s Agriculture Producer Organisation to encourage farming families for scientific cultivation, management and optimum production of agriculture crops like millets, pulses and oil seeds under rain fed or irrigated condition
