NABARD Tribal Development Projects

Integrated Tribal Development Project supported by NABARD is being implemented in 26 Villages of Tumakuru, Hassan and Chitradurga districts during 2010-2023.
The project aims to improve the socio-economic conditions and living standards of scheduled tribe community over a period of 5 years.
2128 tribal families including 265 landless families are identified under this project through various land based and non-land based interventions.
Project activities such as development of Mango and Cashew Orchard (WADI) development, soil conservation, water resource development, community health and sanitation, women empowerment, livelihood interventions, sustainable agriculture and community capacity building activities are taken in all project villages.
The project aims at improving socio-economic status of tribal families through their active participation in orchard development and livelihood interventions with their special interest and involvement in the project.

Tribal Development Project in Tumakuru District

Integrated Tribal Development Project supported by NABARD is being implemented in eight villages of Chikkanayakanahalli Taluk, Tumakuru district during 2016-2017 to 2020. The project aims to improve the socio-economic and living standards of scheduled tribe community over a period of 5 years. 538 tribal families including 55 landless families are targetted under this project through various land based and non-land based interventions.

TRIBAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT in Hassan district

Integrated Tribal Development Project supported by NABARD is also being taken up in six villages of Arasikere & Hassan taluk of Hassan district during 2017-18. The project aims to improve the socio-economic and living standards of schedule tribe community over a period of 5 years.

338 tribal families including 72 landless families are targeted under this project through various land based & non-land based interventions. The following major activities are completed by end of March 2022
